In 2018, Precision Systems, Inc. (PSI) completed the District Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) ADA Asset Inventory & Compliance Evaluation System, inspecting and evaluating 39,022 pedestrian infrastructure assets citywide. The assessment covered bus stops, curb ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks, and pedestrian signals for ADA compliance, with actionable improvement recommendations.

PSI developed a custom interactive mapping and business intelligence platform, integrating inspection data, geotagged photos, and compliance outcomes. The system enabled automated cost estimation and repair prioritization, streamlining the city’s approach to accessibility planning.

Using advanced field tools—including LiDAR, panoramic cameras, and GPS—PSI successfully evaluated a total of 84,647 assets, delivering the project on schedule and within budget. The outcome supports a more accessible and inclusive transportation network across Washington, DC.
