Citywide Guardrail & Attenuator Inspection Services | DDOT Roadway Safety Program
Precision Systems, Inc. (PSI) provided Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) services for the District Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) Citywide Guardrail and Attenuator Program, supporting efforts to enhance roadside safety infrastructure across Washington, D.C.
PSI’s scope included field inspections, contractor oversight, and quality assurance for the repair and replacement of guardrails and impact attenuators along high-speed roadways, bridges, curves, and medians. All work was verified for compliance with DDOT specifications, AASHTO standards, and FHWA safety guidelines.
PSI evaluated field conditions, ensured contractor work matched approved plans, monitored schedule adherence, and minimized disruptions to traffic and public access. Through daily reporting, QA documentation, and close stakeholder coordination, PSI ensured the safe, efficient delivery of critical safety improvements—advancing DDOT’s Vision Zero goals by maintaining infrastructure that reduces crash severity.
