Traffic Safety Construction Management for DDOT | Bus, Bike, and Pedestrian Infrastructure

Precision Systems, Inc. (PSI) provided Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) services for the District Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) Bus Priority Program, Bicycle Lane Facility Program, and Traffic Safety Improvements initiative. These citywide programs support Vision Zero by advancing a safe, multimodal transportation network across Washington, D.C.

PSI oversaw construction of dedicated bus lanes, protected bike lanes with green pavement treatments, and pedestrian safety enhancements such as ADA-compliant sidewalks, curb ramps, and upgraded pedestrian signals in high-priority corridors. The team ensured compliance with DDOT, FHWA, and ADA standards, coordinated closely with DC Water and utility stakeholders, and led community outreach to minimize disruptions during active construction.
